At Bridgeford LLC, we help clients both big and small in all areas of business find success. We wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to one of our clients who is updating their product line to assist with the medical mask shortage during the COVID-19 crisis.
Gant Medical, a manufacturer of disposable bibs commonly used in medical and dental practices, has adjusted their product line to create affordable face masks to assist with the shortages caused by the COVID-19 crisis.
Check out the press release below, and a huge thank you again for stepping up in a time of need.
Gant Medical, a manufacturer of new patented, disposable medical products designed to reduce cross contamination, has modified its current GantGuard™ ENT and Surgical Bibs to help shield and protect healthcare workers during the current COVID-19 mask shortage and beyond. The idea to modify and repurpose GantGuard bibs as an affordable, disposable face and neck shield was born when the CDC announced that healthcare workers could wear scarves or personal bandanas to cover mouth and nose, due to the extreme supply chain shortage of masks.
“We’re committed to doing whatever it takes to help our doctors, dentists and caregivers limit the spread of COVID-19,” said Gant Medical’s CEO Christian Viviers. “With our patented technology and its resulting efficacy, we can modify, ship and bolster a challenged supply chain quickly and affordably.”
The existing GantGuard bib products are well stocked with distributors and immediately available for healthcare workers, drive thru testing facilities, assisted living caregivers and others who could be potentially exposed to coughing patients. The new modified face and clothing protectors are set for distribution within the next two weeks.
Unlike other dental bibs, GantGuard is unique to the market. They are patented for application, method and design with a non-toxic, self-adhesive which allows them to stick to surface, skin or clothing without irritation. The bibs will fit under a worker’s eye protection and over their existing mask, which could temporarily extend its use and life. They’re impervious to liquids and fluids and shield healthcare workers from nose to waist, covering any exposed neckline that their protective face shields do not. This allows hospital or medical staff to treat one patient, discard and replace before treating another.
GantGuard products are 100% “Made in the USA” and have been awarded several compliance certifications regarding the healthy use of their product, both in the United States and Europe.
Gant Medical has recently modified manufacturing to help limit the spread of COVID-19 for hospitals, emergency management, assisted living and doctor’s offices by making surface covers, wheel chair covers, bed and pillow covers, stretcher covers, arm chair covers, dead rest covers, blood pressure arm covers, tray table liners, apron sized clothing liners and more. They can provide surface barriers to those who need the ability to dispose of potentially contaminated surface areas, rather than risk cross contamination between chemical cleanings.

The adhesive used in them is compliant with California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, also known as Prop 65.
